Important Booking Info
Payments may be made via MasterCard or Visa--sorry, checks are no longer accepted. Advertised rates do not include 3% CC processing fee. The cost of your program does not include gratuities for your guide(s).
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation for all Big Sky Backcounty Guides (BSBG) programs. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to the start of the activity. Trips departing within 30 days from the reservation date must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Courses, Camps, and Tour Weeks require full payment at time of booking.
Deposits are non refundable, unless the yurt can be re-booked for all of the cancelled days. An $80 administrative fee will be assessed to all refunds. Changes to previously reserved dates (ie. moving a trip up or pushing it back into other available dates) will be assessed a $50 administrative fee.
If a cancellation is made more than 30 days before the activity, you will be credited towards another BSBG program if used within a year. There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 30 days before your program. Unfortunately, due to the time-sensitive nature of our business, and the difficulty in re-booking a trip close to departure, we cannot make exceptions to this policy. BSBG reserves the right to cancel a trip due to lack of enrollment. In such a case, a full refund is given; however, BSBG is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred in preparing for the program (i.e., airline tickets, equipment purchase or rental, lodging and other travel related expenses).
Acts of Nature
No refunds will be issued for trips affected by acts of nature such as flooding, fire, or extreme blizzard conditions. These occur naturally in mountain environments and are beyond our control. If the safety of our guests is in question, BSBG reserves the right to relocate or reschedule a trip. If no arrangements can be reached to relocate or reschedule a trip, you will be credited towards another BSBG program if used within a year.
Due to the factors listed above, we strongly recommend Trip Insurance from a reputable company such as Travel Guard or Travel Ex. Coverage is reasonably priced and can cover your expenses in the event you need to cancel your trip or your trip is affected by acts of nature.
